Sunday school

Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.  (Mark 10:14)

Christians are made, not born. The process requires a considerable amount of mentoring, love and practice.
At First Pentecostal Prayer of Faith Church, we realize that the influences on our children during the formative years help greatly to shape their minds. With this awareness, Sunday School is a prime environment to create positive influences on the lives of our children.

Our Sunday School staff endeavors to first delve into the Word of God and understand for ourselves.  We do so by going through the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) Sunday School Certification program, teaching Bible Studies and Discipleship classes.  You will find that our Sunday School teachers are certified to teach children about the Oneness doctrine and partner with parents to raise up a godly generation.

The Sunday School department interacts and provide teaching for every child in the following levels:

  • Nursery -  Ages 2-3
  • Kindergarten - Ages 4-5
  • Beginners - Ages 6-7
  • Primary - Ages 8-9
  • Juniors - Ages 10-11
  • Pre-Teens - Ages 12-13
  • Young Adults - Ages 14-18

At the completion of each step, a child has the opportunity to graduate to the next level.

It has been said, "Great Sunday schools build great churches." Therefore, the role of Sunday School teachers in this generation is imperative.

Children's Ministries

The vision that fuels our work in Children's Ministry grows out of Jesus words in Mark 10:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

In the midst of a consuming ministry to adults, Jesus regularly ministered to children. We believe the future of the church depends on effective ministry to children today.

Our Children's Ministry at First Pentecostal Prayer of Faith Church is designed to provide the best possible Christian teaching to children ages 6 to18. We want children to internalize the Biblical principles we teach and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  The bibles says: "Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it." We encourage this by offering various age-appropriate sermons, bible quizzing activities, and Christian games.

Teenage Ministry (C.R.E.AM. Christ Rules Everything About Me)
College Tour 2009

TAs society exposes our youth to the problems of the world at an increasingly early age First Pentecostal Prayer of Faith Youth Ministry is committed to equip our youth with the knowledge of God to press through.  FPPF Youth Ministry has the awesome task of ensuring that the next generation is prepared to not only stand for God, but also to stand before a world that offers temporary gratification wrapped in sinful behavior.

Our youth services and events are geared towards focusing on how to be positive role models.  We challenge our youth to be leaders and not followers. The services leave young people with a sense of purpose, responsibility and compassion.

The work before us is great, but the foundation beneath us is strong, for we have proven that God is still in control.

Our Youth Group "Christ Rules Everything About Me" (C.R.E.A.M) is all about making Jesus Christ the center of our lives.

C.R.E.A.M. Mission Statement:

  • Keep God first in everything we do, every place we go and every person we touch.
  • Instill Christ-like character into young people?s hearts so they can live authentic Christian lives in the world.
  • Develop our spiritual lives, callings, talents and abilities so that the Lord will be able to fully use us.
